Don’t Just Live… Live on Purpose
A new series about intentional living for God’s glory
Have you ever looked up from your busy, beautiful, chaotic life and asked,
“Does what I do really make a difference? Am I living on purpose—or just trying to keep up?”
I’ve been there too.
Schedules. Expectations. Work. Family. Ministry. Good things.
But even in all the movement, something in my soul whispered, “Is this what it means to live with purpose?”
That’s where the Lord began to speak to my heart about truly living my life on purpose—all for His glory. He began challenging me to make sure my “yeses” were the yeses He had for me, and that my “no’s” were the no’s He was asking of me.
Many years ago, I read a book by Lysa TerKeurst called The Best Yes. The principles from that book have continued to echo in my heart and help guide my decisions. If I say yes to something God didn’t tell me to say yes to, I will likely miss something He did have for me.
That’s when the Lord reminded me—our purpose isn’t just about us.
We were made to make Him known.
Not just from a stage or a mission trip… but through our everyday lives—how we love, how we respond, how we prioritize, how we live.
That’s the heart behind this new series: Living Life on Purpose for His Glory.
Intentional Living – Starts with the Mission
Jesus made our calling clear in Matthew 28:
“Go and make disciples of all nations… teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” (Matthew 28:19–20)
This is the mission.
The reason we’re still here on earth.
The reason we live intentionally.
We’re not just managing homes, raising kids, or working 9 to 5—we’re ambassadors of the Kingdom of Heaven (2 Corinthians 5:20), called to share the hope of Christ wherever we go.
And when we choose to live on purpose—His purpose—people begin to see Him in us.
Living on Purpose Touches Every Area of Life
Over the coming months, we’ll dive into the everyday areas where intentional living meets eternal purpose. And through it all, we will keep our “why” in front of us.
Because living on purpose isn’t about adding more to your to-do list.
It’s about inviting Jesus into every part of your life—and allowing Him to realign your priorities with His.
Here’s a glimpse of what’s ahead in this journey:
1. Caring for the Body God Gave You
Our health matters. Not just so we can look or feel better, but so we’re physically able to say “yes” when He calls. We’ll talk about rhythms of rest, nourishing food, movement, and mindset—all for His glory.
2. Stewarding Time Wisely
Time is one of our most limited resources.
We’ll explore how to say “yes” to the right things, “no” to the distractions, and create margin for what matters most
3. Using Finances for Kingdom Impact
Money can be a tool, a test, or a trap.
Together, we’ll learn how to manage money with purpose—giving generously, living responsibly, and storing up eternal treasure.
4. Building Christ-Centered Relationships
God uses people to shape us.
We’ll talk about surrounding ourselves with those who sharpen our faith, establishing boundaries, and loving others with truth and grace
5. Working and Serving with Purpose
Your job isn’t “just a job.”
Whether you’re in the office, at home, serving or somewhere in between—your work is part of your witness. Let’s explore what it means to serve God right where we are.
6. Learning to Rest and Recharge
Even Jesus rested.
We’ll discover how to embrace Sabbath rhythms and find restoration in His presence—not just in checking out.
And that’s just the beginning.
Is It Worth It?
Let’s be honest: intentional living isn’t always easy.
It takes discipline. Sacrifice. Faith.
But it’s worth it—because when we live on purpose, we start to experience the joy of walking in step with Him. We stop chasing empty success and start pursuing eternal significance.
Ephesians 5:15–17 urges us:
“Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity… therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.”
That’s the heartbeat of this series:
To learn how to live wisely, purposefully, and in full surrender to the One who made us.
Your Invitation
This won’t be a checklist or a quick fix.
It’s a journey. A practice. A daily choice.
But you’re not walking it alone.
Over the coming blogs, we’ll dive deeper into each focus area—with practical tools, biblical encouragement, and honest reflection.
So let me ask you:
- What would it look like to live each day on purpose for God’s glory?
- What area of your life might He be gently asking you to realign?
- Are you ready to walk in a way that helps others see Him?
A Prayer to Begin
Lord, I want to live on purpose.
Not for my success, comfort, or gain—but for Your glory.
Help me to see my life the way You see it.
Open my eyes to the opportunities You’ve placed around me to reflect Your love and truth.
Teach me to walk with intention, led by Your Spirit, and anchored in Your Word.
May my life make You known. Amen.
I’m so glad you’re here.
Let’s live on purpose—together.
🦋 Because when we live for His glory, the world gets a glimpse of His goodness.
