ReCHARGE Day 28

“Do not take Your Holy Spirit from me” David cried out to God. Prior to Christ’s death, resurrection, and ascension into Heaven, the Holy Spirit had a “come and go” relationship with man.

God had anointed David with the Holy Spirit when he became King. This anointing empowered David as King of Israel and ensured David and his nation the blessings of God. When Israel followed God’s decrees and carefully obeyed His commands, God was with Israel. When they didn’t, God left. David had not followed God’s commands, he had sinned with Bathsheba and feared God would take His Holy Spirit, His presence and blessings from David.

Today, believers in Christ do not have to worry about God taking His Holy Spirit from us. Today, we have the confidence and assurance from Jesus that the Holy Spirit will be with us forever (John 14:16). The Holy Spirit, the presence of God in us is a promise from the Father to ALL who believe. With the Holy Spirit comes God’s blessings and God’s peace. Thank God for the Promise. Thank God for His eternal presence! #ReCHARGE #MakingHimknown
