From Skimming to Soaking: Embracing the Depth of Scripture with the Deep Bible Study Method

Watch Here

Are you interested in diving deeper into your Bible but feeling overwhelmed by its size, complexity, and age? Perhaps you’ve already done some Bible study but feel unqualified to go further because you don’t have a “bible education” or know Hebrew or Greek. If any of these situations resonate with you, don’t worry; you’re not alone.

At Making Him Known, we understand these challenges and want to help you. We believe that reading the Bible is more than just skimming the surface. It’s about diving deep into God’s Word and discovering the countless treasures that await. We also believe that anyone can understand the deep things of the Bible with some effort, commitment, and help from the Holy Spirit.

We have exciting news for you – we’ve developed the DEEP Bible Study Method to help you navigate through the Bible one book at a time, one chapter at a time. With DEEP, you will gain confidence in your ability to study and understand the Word, comprehend the deep things of God, and equip yourself with the knowledge to share the Word with others more effectively.

DEEP is based on the inductive approach to Bible study and involves four simple steps: Diving In, Exploring the Text, Explaining the Text, and Putting it into Practice.

DEEP Bible Study Method

To assist you in your study, we have created a series of study maps that guide you through your reading and equip you with the tools to take your Bible study to new, deeper levels. You can print and organize the maps in a notebook, access them digitally on your tablet using a .pdf reader, or refer to them as a guide in your notebook or journal. We also have available map keys to help you quickly navigate the DEEP Bible Study Method and get the most out of your Bible study.

Over the next week, we will share more information about the DEEP Bible Study Method and how it can help you dive deeper into the Word. We’ll discuss each step in more detail and walk you through how to complete each map. We will also give you Bible study tips like how to mark your text and which translation you should use. So stay tuned for more information and get ready to dive deep into the Bible with the DEEP Bible Study Method.
