ReCHARGE Day 26

“Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit”

Zerubbabel was the governor of Judah and responsible for directing the rebuilding of the temple. There was much political and spiritual opposition to this task. This message was for him back then and for us today.

Sometimes we have challenges before us which can never be overcome through human efforts alone. We approach the challenge in our own power and with our own strength only to realize that the mountain is too high or the valley is too deep.

We turn to God and ask for help. When we don’t see evidence of God moving that mountain or raising that valley, we become discouraged. Maybe we expected God to help us in a certain way or in a specific time frame. When this doesn’t happen we try to push that mountain out of the way or raise that valley in our own strength only to fail again.

What we don’t realize is that as soon as we asked, God began to work quietly behind the scenes through the Holy Spirit. Yes, God can say a word and remove the mountain but sometimes God is finding other ways to meet the challenge.

Maybe He is making a tunnel through that mountain or maybe He is bringing us around it, just know He is working on our behalf through His Spirit.
